Our Favorite Logos of 2016

Each year that passes, the Peppermill team likes to take a moment to reflect on the variety of work we've completed for our amazing clients. 2016 sure was a productive year for Peppermill Projects! Along with website design, packaging design and brand strategy, we created several logo projects for many different businesses and organizations. Below you'll find a few of our favorites. Onward to 2017!

Live Kindly is a lifestyle brand targeting 18-25 year olds with the mission to promote kindness. Depending on how you look at the mark, you might see a smiley face or a dove carrying a leaf in its beak. The circular shape of the logo is inspired by the karmic idea of getting back what you give — kindness is contagious and will eventually come back around. We're currently building the Live Kindly website where you'll find t-shirts, hats, stickers and enamel pins that will be available for sale soon. We want one of everything!

Classic Brass, located in Jamestown, New York, has designed and manufactured premium door and cabinet hardware for the past 30 years. They decided it wastime to update their brand with high-quality design and strategy to match the quality of their products. We're also currently in the process of designing their new website, which should be live soon!

Loft 56 is a one-man company that makes custom home furnishings and décor from reclaimed and recycled materials. It’s located in a brand new location in the heart of Ellicott City, Maryland, an area is recovering from a recent devastating flood. The 5 in the logo is incomplete, but the brain receives cues from the 6 and the word Loft to fill in the missing pieces. Many of the materials used for the furniture may seem useless, but Loft 56 finds a purpose for recycled materials and puts them together to make beautiful, handcrafted pieces of art that have a unique story

We loved designing this logo for Kristi Neidhardt and her real estate team. The logo moves away from the traditional real estate logos and incorporates her specialty of waterfront properties in the Chesapeake Bay region. The anchor symbolizes more than just waterfront properties — her clients that are about to embark on a new adventure or are dropping their anchor to set down new roots in a new home.

Ananda, meaning bliss or extreme happiness, is a line of cannabis-infused skin creams, bath salts and oils designed by our sister company, Brand Joint. The products are targeted to 35-50 year-old women looking for relaxation, rejuvenation and pain relief. The logo is very clean, geometric and uses open triangles in place of the A’s. The triangle symbolizes THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), the active chemical found in cannabis. The open letters reflect the open-mindedness of the company and the consumers who use the products.

Bluestone Enterprises is a counter-intelligence consulting company for corporate and state and local law enforcement agencies. Each triangle in the logo represents pieces of knowledge coming together to form the lightning bolt. The logo looks classic and sophisticated on letterhead and business cards.
